Smith's clinical and research interests include singing voice rehabilitation, pediatric voice evaluation and therapy and gender affirming voice therapy. She is very active in community outreach, presenting lectures and workshops on preventative vocal health. Smith served on the music faculty at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, and she brings extensive teaching and performing experience to her practice. Prior to entering the field of speech-language pathology, Dr. Robin Samlan and Natalie Monahan on age-related dysphonia research. In the University of Arizona Voice Lab, she collaborates with Dr. She practices at the UA Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic and Banner University Medical Center North Campus in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery. Smith specializes in the evaluation and treatment of voice and laryngeal airway disorders as well as communication and swallowing disorders associated with head and neck cancer. Dori Smith is a speech-language pathologist and clinical singing voice specialist who earned her doctorate (DMA) in vocal performance and second master’s degree (MS) in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Arizona.
